A Celebration of Muslim Creativity: MACFEST Muslim Arts Awards 2025 Art Exhibition Preview

The vibrant world of Muslim-centred artistry takes the stage this autumn in Manchester. On Thursday 20 November 2025, from 5:30-7:00pm, the preview of the Muslim Arts Awards exhibition will open at the University of Salford’s New Adelphi Gallery in Salford. The exhibition will then run until early December, giving visitors a chance to explore a curated selection of works in calligraphy, drawing, painting and photography.

This year’s showcase offers more than just visual pleasure. It is the result of a UK-wide open call inviting Muslim practicing artists, over the age of 18, to submit their work (two pieces at most) across the four categories. From over 65 submissions, the finalists were chosen and their works now stand on display for public admiration. Whether it’s bold paintings, intricate calligraphy, evocative photography or finely detailed drawings, each piece reflects a personal journey of culture, faith, identity and creative expression.

The Preview Night – Where Art Meets Conversation

Attending the opening preview means you’ll step into a lively atmosphere of inspiration and connection. Between 5:30pm and 7pm you’ll have the first opportunity to view the selected works, meet the artists, engage with industry partners and enjoy light refreshments. The space is designed to encourage interaction, spark conversation and highlight the talent and diversity within Muslim-heritage art communities. It’s an invitation to pause, reflect and celebrate creativity in an inclusive setting.
